Ultima Air Conditioning Storefront
Air conditioning installation pricing and inclusions
Understand what is included in a standard single-storey back-to-back split system installation, what may need a custom quote, and what details help us price your job properly.
Installation support for Perth homes
A good air conditioner installation is more than fixing the indoor unit to the wall. The final result depends on system size, wall construction, outdoor unit position, electrical access, drainage, pipe route, working height and whether the home is single-storey or double-storey.
Split systems
Standard pricing is available for straightforward single-storey back-to-back installations where the indoor and outdoor units can be positioned close together.
Ducted systems
Ducted installations are quote-only because roof space, ducts, outlets, return air, zoning, controls and electrical requirements vary from home to home.
Replacement work
Existing systems may need removal, disposal, pipework changes, drainage repairs or electrical adjustments before the new system can be commissioned.
Standard split system installation pricing
These prices are for standard back-to-back split system installations in single-storey Perth homes. Final pricing is confirmed after the installation details and access requirements are reviewed.
| System size | Installation type | Price inc GST |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 3.0kW | Standard installation | $899.00 |
| Over 3.0kW to 5.0kW | Standard installation | $949.00 |

If your installation needs extra pipework, brackets, roof access, double-storey access, switchboard work, long drain runs or non-standard wall penetrations, we will quote those items before proceeding.
What a standard split installation usually includes
A standard installation assumes a practical indoor wall position and an outdoor unit location close to the indoor unit, with safe access for the installer.
Indoor and outdoor units
Mounting the indoor unit, positioning the outdoor unit at ground level and making the required wall penetration for services.
Pipework and drainage
Connecting refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage and communication cabling within a normal back-to-back allowance.
Electrical and commissioning
Connecting to a suitable electrical supply, testing operation, checking drainage and confirming the system is cooling and heating correctly.
- Neat pipe route and pipe cover where required for a standard wall split installation.
- Basic clean-up of installation packaging and work area after the job is complete.
- Customer handover so you understand the remote, basic operation and maintenance requirements.
What can change the final installation price?
Some homes need extra labour, materials or equipment. These items are not bad news, but they should be identified before the final quote is accepted.
Access and height
Double-storey work, outdoor units above ground level, difficult ladder access or tight side paths may require extra planning.
Longer pipe or drain runs
Extra copper, drain, cable, pipe cover or condensate pump work may be required when units cannot sit back-to-back.
Electrical upgrades
Some installations need switchboard work, circuit changes, isolators or electrical repairs before the air conditioner can be connected safely.
